WHOSE SLEEVES?2016
Pigment and casein paint on wood, steel, inkjet print and pigment on paper
Inspired by a particular type of japanese folding screen with the same title, the installation develops around the imprint of the snap line. At the center of the work is the relation between line and surface, the colours and the voids between the elements of the installation. Two different versions are documented here, an installation shown in the exhibition Abstract – Spatial. Painting in Space at the Kunsthalle Krems, and a smaller sculptural version shown within the predefined installation architecture of the exhibition Forårsudstillingen at Den Frie, Copenhagen.
